Whole House Ventilation Units - Multivent

The Whole House Ventilation unit - Multivent - is a stylish and compact unit that provides a highly efficient and low cost form of continuous and controlled extraction of air from a domestic environment from a single unit.

Its adaptability enables the system to be suitable for common house layouts and can be used on up to five rooms.

The system prevents the need for multiple fans in different rooms and reduces, to one, the number of external outlets required.

The units are supplied in 2 models - manual 2-speed switching and automatic integral humidity sensor. The automatic version runs continuously on slow speed and when the sensor detects a level of humidity above the switch-on point (65% RH), the unit is switched to fast speed.

Once the level has fallen below the pre-set level, the unit will revert to running on trickle speed.

The kit comprises: 1no 6m lengths of 125mm flexible ducting, 2no 3m lengths of 80mm flexible ducting, 1no 125mm ceiling grille, 2no 80mm ceiling grilles, 1no 125mm fixed external grille (terracotta)

Construction These units are made of strong and durable self-extinguishing plastic for strength, durability and finish. Electrical 220-230v ~ A.C. 50Hz Single phase consuming 90 watts when on fast speed and 27 watts on slow continuous speed. These units require an earth. All wiring must comply with current IEE regulations. A double pole isolating switch, having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles, must be used with a 3 amp fuse fitted. Motor Single phase two-speed induction motor with pre-oiled ball-bearings for a long maintenance free life and protected by a thermal fuse. Guarantee Two year no quibble guarantee. Installation The units are designed to be loft mounted. The extract grilles are generally ceiling mounted with the 80mm grilles used in the bathroom, toilet or en-suite and the 125mm grille from the kitchen. A simple regulator controls the flow of air from the kitchen. Full installation and operating instructions are provided with each unit.
