Cosivent - Passive Ventilation Unit

Ventilation cannot work properly in a property if replacement air is not supplied to the building.

To aid control of condensation and hence reduce high humidity levels and prevent mould growth, Ferrob would recommend the use of a Cosivent in room(s) that need ventilating without fitting an electrical ventilation unit.

These are usually fitted in bedrooms and / or lounges etc to enable air to be drawn into the property when the extract fans are on. This has the effect of ventilating the extra rooms which is where, invariably, humidity will settle.

When the extract fans, which are normally installed to the wet rooms (kitchen, bathrooms etc), are not running, air will not be drawn into the house and hence no draughts are experienced by the resident.

Filters are fitted to the units to remove dust and dirt particles and prevent them from entering the home.
